How does RideMentor work?
RideMentor is a directory of motorcycle service businesses. You can browse all listings for contact information, and book appointments directly through our platform with claimed businesses (those verified by their owners).
What types of services are available?
Our directory includes businesses offering maintenance and repairs, storage facilities, detailing, riding instruction, gear and equipment, professional training courses, towing services, and insurance.
How do I book a service?
Only claimed businesses (marked with a "Claimed Business" badge) can accept bookings through our platform. Browse their available services, choose a time slot, and confirm your booking. For unclaimed listings, you'll find contact information to reach out directly.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
For bookings made through our platform (claimed businesses only), you can cancel or reschedule through your dashboard. We recommend canceling at least 24 hours in advance. For services contacted directly, arrange cancellations with the business.
What if a business cancels my booking?
If a claimed business cancels a booking made through our platform, they must provide a reason which will be shared with you. You'll receive an email notification immediately. Since booking through RideMentor is free for customers, there are no platform fees to refund. You can search for another business.
What happens if a business doesn't confirm my booking?
When you book with a claimed business that needs to activate their subscription, they have 48 hours to confirm. You'll see an "Awaiting Confirmation" status on your booking. If they don't confirm within 48 hours, the booking is automatically cancelled and you'll be notified.
How do payments work?
Payment for services is handled directly between you and the business. RideMentor is free for customers - we don't charge booking fees or process service payments. Discuss payment methods and timing directly with the business.
Are businesses vetted?
Claimed businesses (verified ownership) go through our review process before appearing as bookable. Community-added listings appear in the directory but aren't verified until claimed by their owners. Look for the "Claimed Business" badge when booking.
I found my business listed on RideMentor. How do I manage it?
If you see your business already listed, you can claim it by creating an account and going through our verification process. Once verified, you'll have full control to manage your listing, respond to customers, and accept bookings.
What happens if I'm not satisfied with the service?
Contact the business directly to resolve any service issues. Since payments are handled directly between you and the provider, any refunds or credits would be arranged with them. If you experience problems with a claimed business, you can also report the issue to our support team.
For Service Providers
How do I join RideMentor as a provider?
First, search for your business in our directory. If it's already listed, claim it through email verification. If not, create an account and add your business. Claimed businesses are reviewed by our team before you can accept bookings.
What are the requirements to become a provider?
We look for demonstrated experience in motorcycle maintenance and repair, positive customer feedback, and reliable service delivery. Professional certifications are preferred but not required. Insurance coverage is recommended.
How much does it cost to use the platform?
RideMentor gives you 2 free bookings per month. After your free bookings, subscribe to Unlimited at $79/month for unlimited bookings. The subscription allows you to view customer contact details and manage all your bookings through the platform.
How do I set my pricing and availability?
You have full control over your service pricing and schedule through your business dashboard. Set competitive rates for different services and update your availability calendar in real-time. Customer payments are separate from your subscription fee.
What is your refund policy for subscriptions?
Subscription fees are non-refundable. You can cancel your Unlimited subscription at any time, and it will remain active until the end of your current billing period. After cancellation, you'll return to the 2 free bookings per month plan.
What happens if I don't respond to a booking in time?
When you receive a booking after using your 2 free bookings, you have 48 hours to subscribe to Unlimited and confirm. You'll receive reminder emails at regular intervals. If you don't subscribe within 48 hours, the booking is automatically cancelled to protect the customer experience. You can still accept future bookings with your free bookings next month or by subscribing to Unlimited.
Can I offer services outside my immediate area?
Yes, you can set your service radius and offer mobile services within that area. Many providers offer pickup and delivery services or travel to customers' locations for added convenience.
