How does RideMentor work?
RideMentor connects you with trusted motorcycle service professionals in your area. Browse available services, book appointments, and get your motorcycle serviced at your convenience. Our platform handles scheduling and communication with your chosen provider.
What types of services are available?
Our network offers comprehensive motorcycle services including mechanic work (oil changes, tire changes, brake service), storage solutions (winter/summer storage), detailing services (washing, polishing, ceramic coating), and riding mentorship (training and skills development).
How do I book a service?
Simply browse our provider profiles, select a service that meets your needs, choose an available time slot, and confirm your booking. You'll receive confirmation and can communicate directly with your provider through our platform.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
You can cancel or reschedule your booking through your dashboard. We recommend canceling at least 24 hours in advance as a courtesy to your provider. Any payment arrangements should be discussed directly with your provider.
What if the provider cancels my booking?
If a provider cancels, they must provide a reason which will be shared with you. You'll receive an email notification immediately. Since RideMentor is free for customers, there are no refunds needed. You can search for another provider or contact support if you need assistance finding a replacement.
What happens if a provider doesn't confirm my booking?
When you book with a provider who needs to activate their subscription, they have 48 hours to confirm. You'll see an "Awaiting Confirmation" status on your booking. If they don't confirm within 48 hours, the booking is automatically cancelled and you'll be notified. You can book with another provider or the same provider later.
How do payments work?
Payment arrangements are made directly between you and your service provider. Discuss payment methods and timing with your provider when confirming service details.
Are the service providers vetted?
Yes, we carefully review all providers who join our network. While we're building our verification process, we currently focus on experience, customer reviews, and professional qualifications to ensure quality service.
What happens if I'm not satisfied with the service?
Your satisfaction is our priority. If you're not happy with a service, contact our support team immediately. We work with providers to resolve issues and may offer refunds or service credits depending on the situation.
For Service Providers
How do I join RideMentor as a provider?
Sign up through our provider registration process. You'll create a profile showcasing your services, experience, and availability. Our team reviews applications to ensure quality standards before approval.
What are the requirements to become a provider?
We look for demonstrated experience in motorcycle maintenance and repair, positive customer feedback, and reliable service delivery. Professional certifications are preferred but not required. Insurance coverage is recommended.
How much does it cost to use the platform?
RideMentor gives you 2 free bookings per month. After your free bookings, subscribe to Unlimited at $79/month for unlimited bookings. The subscription allows you to view customer contact details and manage all your bookings through the platform.
What subscription plans are available?
We offer 2 free bookings per month for all providers to get started. Once you've used your free bookings, subscribe to Unlimited ($79/month flat rate) for unlimited bookings. Your subscription allows you to accept bookings and view full customer details immediately.
How do I set my pricing and availability?
You have full control over your service pricing and schedule through your provider dashboard. Set competitive rates for different services and update your availability calendar in real-time. Customer payments are separate from your subscription fee.
When and how do I get paid?
Payment arrangements are made directly between you and your customers. You collect payment for your services using your preferred method (cash, Venmo, Zelle, etc.). RideMentor does not process booking payments - we only handle your monthly subscription fee.
What is your refund policy for subscriptions?
Subscription fees are non-refundable. You can cancel your Unlimited subscription at any time, and it will remain active until the end of your current billing period. After cancellation, you'll return to the 2 free bookings per month plan.
What happens if I don't respond to a booking in time?
When you receive a booking after using your 2 free bookings, you have 48 hours to subscribe to Unlimited and confirm. You'll receive reminder emails at regular intervals. If you don't subscribe within 48 hours, the booking is automatically cancelled to protect the customer experience. You can still accept future bookings with your free bookings next month or by subscribing to Unlimited.
Can I offer services outside my immediate area?
Yes, you can set your service radius and offer mobile services within that area. Many providers offer pickup and delivery services or travel to customers' locations for added convenience.

Is RideMentor available in my area?
We're currently focused on the New York City metropolitan area with plans to expand to other major cities. Check our provider map to see current coverage in your neighborhood.
Do you have a mobile app?
Our web platform is fully mobile-responsive and works seamlessly on all devices. We're developing native mobile apps for iOS and Android, which will be available in the coming months.

Is my personal information secure?
Absolutely. We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your data. Payment information is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant processor. We never store sensitive payment details on our servers.
