Agreement to Terms

Welcome to RideMentor! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of our motorcycle services marketplace platform. By accessing or using RideMentor, you agree to be bound by these Terms, whether as a customer seeking services or as a provider offering services.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Description of Service

RideMentor is a motorcycle services marketplace that connects riders with professional service providers across thirteen service categories:

• Storage - Secure motorcycle storage facilities
• Mechanic Services - Maintenance, repairs, and mechanical work
• Detailing - Cleaning, polishing, and cosmetic services
• Instructors - Riding instruction, mentoring, and training
• Gear - Motorcycle gear and equipment
• Towing - Emergency towing and roadside assistance
• Insurance - Motorcycle insurance services
• Touring - Guided tours and route planning services
• Dealership - Motorcycle dealerships and sales
• Clubs - Motorcycle clubs and communities
• Parts - Motorcycle parts and accessories
• Rentals - Motorcycle rental services
• Custom - Custom motorcycle builds and modifications

Our platform offers:

• Connection between motorcycle owners and service providers
• Business directory with claimed (provider-owned) and unclaimed (community-submitted) listings
• Business claim process with ownership verification
• Independent provider profiles ("Find a Pro") for individual mechanics, detailers, photographers, coaches, touring guides, and other motorcycle professionals operating without a registered business
• Peer-to-peer used motorcycle marketplace for buying and selling motorcycles between riders
• Booking and scheduling system with availability management
• Admin approval and moderation for business listings, provider profiles, and reviews
• Reviews and ratings system (with admin moderation)
• Scoped messaging: within active bookings, between buyers and sellers on a marketplace listing, and between riders and independent providers. There is no general direct messaging.
• Motorcycle garage for tracking your bikes
• Notification system (in-app, push, and email)

RideMentor facilitates connections between independent service providers, sellers, and customers. Payment for services and motorcycle sales is arranged directly between users outside our platform. We do not process, escrow, or guarantee any payment, and we are not responsible for the quality, safety, condition, or legality of services or motorcycles offered by third parties.

Platform Nature & User Responsibility

RideMentor is a people-connection platform. We provide technology that enables users to discover, communicate with, and transact with independent third-party motorcycle businesses, individual providers, and private sellers. We do not create, deliver, supervise, insure, warrant, or otherwise control the services or motorcycles that other users offer. RideMentor is not a party to, nor responsible for, any contract, transaction, or agreement between users.

You acknowledge and agree that: (a) all services and sales are performed solely by independent users, not RideMentor; (b) any engagement, booking, advice received, storage arrangement, mentoring session, mechanical work, or motorcycle purchase is at your own discretion and risk; (c) you are solely responsible for evaluating the suitability, credentials, insurance, experience, title, condition, and trustworthiness of any business, provider, seller, buyer, or customer you interact with; and (d) RideMentor does not guarantee outcomes, safety, vehicle condition, clear title, or the accuracy of any user-generated, provider-supplied, or seller-supplied information.

Use Caution

• Exercise common-sense safety when meeting in person, delivering property, or completing a private motorcycle sale
• Inspect any work performed before relying on a motorcycle for operation
• For used motorcycle purchases, independently verify the VIN, title status, lien status, and mechanical condition before any payment changes hands
• Do not share unnecessary personal or financial information in messages, and never wire funds based solely on platform messages
• Verify identities and any claimed certifications or insurance independently
• Immediately report suspicious conduct via our support channels

By using the platform you assume all risks arising from interactions with other users (online or offline) and from the receipt or provision of services. If you have a dispute with another user, you agree that RideMentor is not responsible for that dispute and you release us from claims, demands, and damages of every kind arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes (to the fullest extent permitted by law).

Nothing in these Terms purports to exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded (e.g., for fraud, intentional misconduct, or where prohibited by consumer protection law). To the extent any disclaimer conflicts with mandatory law, the mandatory law governs.

User Accounts and Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Use only one account per person

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are inactive for extended periods.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use RideMentor only for lawful purposes. You will not:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise our systems
• Use automated tools to access our services without permission
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Interfere with other users' enjoyment of the service

Marketplace Terms

For Customers

When using RideMentor, you agree to:

• Booking services: Provide accurate information about your service needs, motorcycle details, and booking preferences
• Payment: Pay for services as agreed directly with the provider (RideMentor does not process service payments)
• Cancellations: Respect provider cancellation policies; you may cancel bookings at any time but providers may have specific policies
• Time adjustments: Booking time adjustments must be made at least 4 hours before the scheduled start time
• Professional conduct: Treat providers and other users professionally and respectfully
• Honest reviews: Leave honest, factual reviews based on your experience after service completion
• Business listings: When submitting unclaimed business listings, provide accurate information and do not submit duplicates intentionally
• Reporting: Use listing reports appropriately to flag legitimate issues (incorrect information, spam, inappropriate content)

For Service Providers

Providers on RideMentor must:

• Legal compliance: Maintain all required licenses, permits, and insurance for your services
• Accurate information: Provide truthful information about services, pricing, certifications, and availability
• Business ownership: Only claim businesses you own or have authorization to manage
• Verification: Submit accurate verification documents when claiming a business listing
• Service delivery: Deliver services as described and agreed in bookings
• Professional standards: Maintain quality standards and treat customers professionally
• Responsiveness: Respond to bookings and inquiries promptly
• Availability: Keep your availability schedule and blackout dates up to date

Business Listings

Unclaimed Listings:

• Customers may submit businesses to our directory to help build community resources
• Unclaimed listings must be accurate and submitted in good faith
• All unclaimed listings go through admin moderation before appearing publicly
• The platform uses duplicate detection; intentional duplicate submissions may result in account suspension
• Creators of unclaimed listings are publicly credited by first name

Claimed Listings:

• Providers may claim unclaimed businesses they own or create new claimed business profiles
• Claim requests require email verification at the business email address and ownership verification documents
• Verification tokens expire after 7 days; claims not verified in time will be rejected
• All claimed business profiles require admin approval before going live
• Only one provider may own a business listing; competing claims are auto-rejected when one is approved
• False claims or fraudulent verification documents may result in permanent account termination

Independent Provider Profiles ("Find a Pro")

Individual professionals (mechanics, detailers, photographers, coaches, touring guides, and similar motorcycle pros) may publish a personal provider profile in addition to or instead of a business listing. Provider profiles are distinct from claimed business listings.

• Each user may operate at most one provider profile
• You must provide an honest bio, accurate service area, truthful specialty selections, and any certifications you genuinely hold
• All provider profiles require admin approval before becoming visible to other users; rejected profiles will not appear in search or "Find a Pro"
• You are solely responsible for complying with all licensing, tax, and insurance requirements that apply to the work you offer as an independent provider
• Misrepresenting your credentials, location, or specialties may result in profile removal and account termination

Used Motorcycle Marketplace

RideMentor offers a peer-to-peer marketplace where private sellers can list used motorcycles for sale and buyers can contact them through listing-scoped messaging. RideMentor is not the seller, broker, agent, escrow agent, or guarantor of any motorcycle sale. We do not handle payment, title transfer, registration, shipping, inspection, or delivery.

Sellers agree to:

• List only motorcycles you legally own and have the right to sell, with clear title and any liens disclosed
• Provide accurate year, make, model, condition, mileage, location, photos, and (where supplied) a valid 17-character VIN
• Honor a maximum of 20 active listings per seller; listings expire automatically after 60 days unless renewed
• Mark listings as sold or remove them once the motorcycle is no longer available
• Comply with all applicable state and federal laws governing private vehicle sales, including disclosure requirements, odometer rules, and emissions regulations
• Refrain from listing stolen, salvage-without-disclosure, non-running-without-disclosure, or otherwise misrepresented vehicles

Buyers agree to:

• Independently verify the seller, motorcycle, VIN, title, and condition before transferring any funds
• Conduct any payment, inspection, test ride, and title transfer entirely outside the platform and at your own risk
• Use the in-listing messaging feature only for legitimate inquiries about the listed motorcycle
• Report suspicious listings, scams, or counterfeit vehicles via the listing report function

RideMentor may remove any listing, suspend any seller or buyer, or refuse service at our discretion if we believe a listing or user violates these Terms or applicable law. We do not pre-screen listings and make no warranty as to the accuracy of any listing or the legitimacy of any user.

Platform Fees

There are no booking fees, marketplace listing fees, transaction fees, commissions, or subscription charges. Payment for services and motorcycle sales is arranged directly between users outside our platform.

Content and Intellectual Property

Our Content

RideMentor and its content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it in connection with our services. You represent that you have the right to share any content you submit.

Third-Party Services and Independent Users

RideMentor integrates with third-party services for hosting, mapping and geocoding, email and push delivery, image processing, and similar infrastructure. We do not currently process payments, run background checks, escrow funds, or verify the credentials, insurance, or background of any user.

Businesses, independent providers, and private sellers on our platform are independent users, not employees, contractors, or agents of RideMentor. We are not responsible for their actions, services, motorcycles, content, or any damages resulting from interactions with them.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Disclaimers and Limitations

Service Availability

We strive to maintain service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Services may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

Accuracy of Information

Admin moderation of business listings, provider profiles, and reviews is intended to filter spam and obvious abuse. It is not a credential check, background check, identity verification, or warranty of accuracy. We cannot guarantee the truthfulness of any business, provider, seller, or listing information, including pricing, availability, certifications, vehicle condition, or title status. Users are responsible for maintaining accurate profiles and listings, and other users are responsible for verifying information independently before relying on it.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RIDEMENTOR (INCLUDING ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR (A) ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; (B) ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR DATA; (C) PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, THEFT, FRAUD, MISREPRESENTATION, TITLE DEFECTS, OR MECHANICAL FAILURE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO SERVICES PERFORMED BY INDEPENDENT PROVIDERS OR MOTORCYCLES BOUGHT OR SOLD THROUGH THE MARKETPLACE; OR (D) DISPUTES BETWEEN USERS, INCLUDING BUYER/SELLER DISPUTES. RIDEMENTOR DOES NOT CONTROL OR DIRECT PROVIDERS, SELLERS, OR BUYERS AND IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR ACTS OR OMISSIONS. YOUR SOLE REMEDY FOR DISSATISFACTION WITH THE PLATFORM IS TO STOP USING IT.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on certain liabilities; in such jurisdictions, the above limitations apply only to the extent permitted. Nothing herein limits liability that cannot legally be limited (including for fraud or willful misconduct).

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RideMentor and its employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for violations of these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use our services ends immediately
• We may delete your account and associated data
• Provisions regarding liability and indemnification survive termination

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated through our platform or via email. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
