Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for service bookings and the optional Garage Plus subscription on RideMentor. Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities.
Aside from the optional Garage Plus subscription (covered below), RideMentor charges no platform fees. Payment for services is arranged directly between customers and providers outside our platform.
Service Booking Cancellations
Customer Cancellations
You may cancel bookings at any time without penalty from the platform. However:
- Individual providers may have their own cancellation policies (displayed on their profile)
- We encourage courtesy: Please provide as much advance notice as possible when cancelling
- You can cancel a booking directly through your bookings page
- You must provide a cancellation reason when cancelling
- The provider will be notified immediately of your cancellation
- Frequent last-minute cancellations may affect your standing on the platform
Provider Cancellations
Providers may cancel bookings in the following circumstances:
- Emergency situations or unforeseen circumstances
- Equipment failure or facility issues
- Weather or safety concerns
- Scheduling conflicts
When a provider cancels:
- They must provide advance notice and a cancellation reason
- You will be notified immediately via in-app notification, push notification (if enabled), and email
- You will not be charged any cancellation fees by RideMentor
- Frequent provider cancellations may negatively affect their platform rating
- The cancelled booking will not count toward the provider's monthly booking limit
Booking Time Adjustments
- Either party may request a time adjustment if needed
- Adjustments must be requested at least 4 hours before the scheduled start time
- The other party must agree to the new time
- Cannot adjust past or completed bookings
- Both parties receive notifications of adjustment requests
Automatic Cancellations
Bookings may be automatically cancelled in the following scenarios:
- Provider non-confirmation: If a provider doesn't confirm a booking within 48 hours of the request, it may be auto-cancelled to protect customers from waiting indefinitely
- Account suspension: If either party's account is suspended or terminated, associated bookings are cancelled
Payment Refunds for Services
Important: RideMentor does not process payments for services. All service payments are arranged directly between customers and providers outside our platform. If you have paid for a service that was cancelled, please contact the provider directly to arrange a refund according to their refund policy.
Provider Refund Policies
Individual service providers may set their own refund and cancellation policies for the services they offer. These policies are:
- Displayed on each provider's profile page
- Set by the provider, not by RideMentor
- Between the customer and provider (RideMentor is not a party to service agreements)
- Enforceable directly between you and the provider
We encourage providers to have clear, fair refund policies. However, RideMentor is not responsible for provider refund policies or disputes between customers and providers.
Garage Plus Subscription
Cancelling Your Subscription
- You can cancel Garage Plus at any time from the billing portal in your garage settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- You keep Garage Plus access until the billing period closes, and you will not be charged again
Subscription Refunds
Garage Plus is billed monthly, in advance, through Stripe. Charges for the current billing period are non-refundable except where required by law, and we do not prorate partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact [email protected] and we will review it.

Since service payments are handled directly between customers and providers (outside our platform), please contact the service provider directly to request a service refund. Refer to their refund policy displayed on their profile page.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Changes become effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of RideMentor after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
